Enterprise Documentation

Learn how to scale your customer engagement with the world's most powerful WhatsApp Marketing engine for Shopify.

The Power of WhatsApp

Unlike email, WhatsApp boasts a 98% open rate and a 45-60% click-through rate. Our app helps you bridge the gap between your Shopify store and your customers' favorite messaging app.

Real-time Alerts

Notify customers instantly when orders are paid, shipped, or delivered.

Global Scale

Support for 50+ languages and automatic currency detection.

Meta Cloud API Configuration

To start sending messages, you must connect your Meta WhatsApp Business API credentials.

1

Create a Meta App

Visit the Meta for Developers portal. Create an app with the Business type and add the WhatsApp product.

2

Retrieve IDs

Navigate to WhatsApp > API Setup. Copy the following values into the App Settings:

  • Phone Number ID (Unique to your sending number)
  • WhatsApp Business Account ID (WABA ID)
3

Access Token

We recommend using a System User Access Token (Permanent) rather than the 24-hour Temporary Token provided on the setup page.

CRITICAL: Your WhatsApp number must not be linked to a standard WhatsApp or WhatsApp Business mobile app while using the API.

Order Automations

Automate your store's communication cycle using Shopify Webhooks.

Event Triggers

Our app listens for the following Shopify events to trigger instant WhatsApp messages:

  • Order Paid: Send a thank you message with order summary.
  • Fulfillment Created: Send the tracking number and carrier link.
  • Refund Created: Notify customers of their refund status.
  • Order Cancelled: Confirm cancellation immediately.

Abandoned Cart Recovery

Recover up to 25% of lost revenue using multi-step WhatsApp reminders.

Setting Up

Navigate to Automations > Abandoned Cart. You can configure up to 3 follow-up messages:

  • Reminder 1: 30 minutes after abandonment (Offer help).
  • Reminder 2: 12 hours after (Highlight social proof).
  • Reminder 3: 24 hours after (Offer limited-time discount).
Note: You must have the read_checkouts scope enabled in your Shopify settings for this to function.

Troubleshooting

Common Error Codes

Error 403: Forbidden

This usually occurs if your Access Token has expired or lacks the whatsapp_business_messaging permission.

Template Not Sending

Ensure the Template Name and Language match exactly with what is APPROVED in your Meta Business Suite.

Legal Compliance & Opt-in

WhatsApp has strict policies regarding marketing communication.

Opt-in Methods

To send marketing messages, you must have customer consent. You can collect this via:

  • Shopify Checkout "Marketing" checkbox.
  • A dedicated opt-in widget on your product page.
  • QR codes in physical shipping boxes.
Pro-Tip: Always include an "Unsubscribe" button or keyword in your marketing templates to maintain a high quality score.
